June 2017

Running a small business constantly feels like you are spinning lots of plates at once and organising a pop up shop is a huge amount of work.  So if many emerging designers feel the same way and want the same thing, it makes so much sense to share the load with each other and all pull together.

London Designers Collective are a start-up doing exactly that.  We were invited to be a part of their five-day pop up in Marylebone in Central London with ten other emerging brands to sell our Spring/Summer collection, whilst sharing the costs and stresses of organising it with everyone involved.

The week was so much fun: not only did we sell lots and get to meet so many new customers and fans of RJ, we threw a great launch party, hosted an evening celebrating women in business, and as designers we all got to know each other so well: forming friendships, swapping advice and cheering each other on.

Thank you to everyone who came to support us, the other brands who made the event such a success and a particular thank you to Gemma from London Designers Collective for making it all happen.

Rachel JAMES: relaunched & rebranded

It is with great excitement that we present the new-and-improved Rachel JAMES.

We have taken a little time out of the spotlight recently to re-focus our dynamic brand: refining what is important to us, reaching out for collaborations, and working away on fun new ideas.

We are more than a menswear label: we are a creative brand. We have all kinds of exciting things in the pipeline from womenswear to product design to children’s books. So watch this space!

And we kick it all off with our beautiful new website. Big shout out to Sarah Ferrari for the design and Rich Hughes for the copy.

We hope you love it as much as we do!

We are very excited to announce that next year we will be launching our first Rachel JAMES womenswear collection.

Everything else is top secret but stay up-to-date with our teasers by signing up to our womenswear mailing list and our specifically RJ womenswear Instagram account:
